Garage Dykstra was born from a lifelong passion for automobiles and the culture surrounding them. With deep roots in classic Citroëns and a long-standing admiration for Porsche sports cars, our collection reflects decades of experience, personal taste and respect for craftsmanship.

What we do

We buy, curate and sell historic automobiles with character, focusing on cars with traceable provenance and the highest level of authenticity. Preferably unrestored, and when restored, as original and true to their history as possible. Because authenticity and the stories these cars carry are essential.

Every car is personally inspected, thoroughly documented and, when necessary, entrusted to specialists for expert mechanical care. We present each vehicle through high-quality photography and film, celebrating both its legacy and its future adventures.

The story behind Garage Dykstra

My name is Sip Dykstra. From a young age, I have been passionate about cars. I was born in 1979 above a Citroën garage in Emmeloord, the Netherlands. My father once took over the Citroën dealership from his father, and in time, I took it over from him.

I have a deep appreciation for authentic cars with a story, with a particular fondness for Citroëns and Porsches. When both your grandfather and father run a Citroën dealership, the love for the brand is instilled from an early age. My passion for Porsche also began when I was a young boy. Every summer, we travelled to Switzerland, and I always sat behind my father so I could watch the cars approaching on the motorway. The Porsches on the German Autobahn made an indelible impression—one that continues to influence everything I do today.

After many rewarding years in the dealership world, I said farewell to it in 2023. Classic cars give me far more joy than new ones ever could. From this passion, Garage Dykstra was born, a subtle nod to Garage S. Dykstra, the company my grandfather founded in 1949.
